Joining them will be Ellie Kemper ( Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Lake Bell ( No Escape), Jenny Slate ( Parks and Rec), Albert Brooks ( Finding Dory), Hanibal Buress ( Broad City), and Steve Coogan (Happyish). The film is co-directed by Chris Renaud ( Despicable Me 1 & 2) and Yarrow Cheney, who makes his directorial debut after serving as production designer on Despicable Me. This will be the animated feature film debut for all three actors. The Secret Life of Pets features an all-star comedy voice cast, including Louis C.K as Max, Eric Stonestreet as Duke, and Kevin Hart as Snowball. However, the pair must put aside their differences when they find out that an adorable, yet slightly unhinged, bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned pets determined to take revenge on all pets and their owners. In The Secret Life of Pets, Max the dog is less than amused when his beloved owner brings home a new addition to the family Duke is a massive beast of a dog and not at all pleased to meet Max either, and the pair try to constantly outdo one another in an effort to become the favored pet.

The Secret Life of Pets has a basic but brilliant premise what do our furbabies really get up to when we leave the house? In the case of the pets featured in this movie, their antics involve rocking out to hardcore heavy metal, devouring all the food in the fridge, and catching up on all the gossip with their neighborhood pals. Their latest offering keeps up the caliber, again within the family friendly film genre.
A global smash, the film pulled in over $1 billion at the global box office, and firmly cemented Illumination as an animation company of note. Starting with Despicable Me, their presence in movies has been steadily growing until last year, with the release of the Minions movie. Illumination Entertainment are the company who brought Minions into the world.
